Welcome to our little space on the net! This blog is just about our family life, and began as a way to keep family and friends updated on what was going on with my pregnancy with our first son, Gage. We've since added Evie to our family, and I continue to blog about family life, car seats, spina bifida, and anything else that catches my attention.

All good news
Gage is doing great today. They FINALLY took off the dressing, and the docs say it looks great! We are being told now that the shunt surgery will probably be later this week. They should be turning him on his side soon and hopefully that means we can hold him. He has to be able to lay on his back for the surgery. They have taken out his IV completely and they upped his feeds AGAIN! The boy is a little piggie! We spent almost all day at the hospital with Gage. He was alert a lot this evening. We both love looking at his eyes! Tony's parents were here this weekend and just left today. It was nice to have them here. I changed his diaper a couple of times today. He goes all the time so I have plenty of opportunity! That's about it today! Here is a pics of Gage and Daddy:
