Another week at home and all is still going well here. Gage is doing great- eating like a pig and growing. He is usually pretty content unless it's meal time or diaper time, when he screams like we're pulling his fingernails off. Diaper changing is quite the challenge since he kicks his legs all over the place and tends to spray as soon as the diaper is off. Unfortunately I have to put diaper rash stuff on him, so it can't be a quick change.
We have had some awesome meals from the ladies we go to church with! It's so nice not to have to think about what we will eat. They always seem to bring enough for the next day, too.
Gage has had a few visitors lately. Lori, the PT I worked with, came by Friday to see Gage. She tried the whole time to get him to wake up and he wasn't really phased. He was, of course, wide-eyed after she left.
Saturday, my mom, stepdad, and bother (Maw Maw, Paw Paw and Uncle Nate) came to see him. MawMaw and PawPaw fought over him while they were both here and MawMaw held him pretty much all day while the guys fished. They also brought the thing to go over Gage's bed and the quilt rack, so his room is finally done! It really looks great! The thing over the bed and the picture frame with Tony's picture in it is made of wood from the barn at Granny's farm (John's grandmother).
Today we are just hanging out. Gage seems a little fussier than usual, but still not bad. We go to Children's Thursday for an appointment with the neurosurgeon, just to make sure everything is fine with the shunt. Thursday, Tony leaves for Chicago for the Cathflo training. He should be back Saturday. Sometime this week my dad and stepmom will be here (Addie and Grumpy Grandaddy:) ) . They are taking a road trip right now and I think are somewhere in Texas. They may be here tomorrow. This will be the first time for them to meet Gage, and I haven't seen my dad in a long time, so I am excited that they can come and stay a few days. Here he is with his kitty, Rocky:
