I met Jennifer at Lowe's, where she works, when I was in there with Gage one day. She asked about his braces, and told me that her niece (of whom she has custody) has them, too. We started talking and found out that they both have spina bifida. We became Facebook friends, and interact fairly often.
Emmalee has just been diagnosed with leukemia. Her treatment is complicated by her spina bifida, and, as cancer always is, it is difficult for her, and for her family. Jennifer is staying with Emmalee through it all, and therefore has not been able to work. The expenses are piling up, as you can imagine. Her coworkers and friends have organized a yard sale for this Saturday, March 2 in the parking lot beside IHOP in Conway. Donations will also be accepted. Come by if you can, and help Jennifer and Emmalee out, so Jennifer can continue to be with her at ACH. You can read the article in the Conway paper here:
