It's a post!

Ok, the kids are fed, Evie's in bed, it's hot outside, my computer has plenty of charge, and I am out of excuses for not posting.

First, the serious stuff.  In May Gage had another MRI and on the 31st, we went back to Memphis for a follow-up with the neurosurgeon.  Everything looked good and Gage doesn't have to go back for a year, assuming his shunt holds out and nothing else happens.  Dr. Boop said that the cysts were still gone and he was pleased with how Gage looked.

A few weeks ago, Tony was mowing and found this little friend in our yard.  Gage wouldn't touch him at first, but we were coloring on his shell with sidewalk chalk before it was over :).  We let him go in the flower bed.

 

My kids do weird things.  No more explanation needed.

 

Evie has decided that she LOVES corn on the cob.  I think it's mostly just about the novelty of scraping it off the cob.

With Nate and Steppy

Last weekend, Tony's brother Scott, and his family (Ally, Silas, and Rosie) made the trip from Chattanooga to SW Arkansas to visit.  We went down to spend the weekend.  It was a tight fit with all of us and 4 little kids in the house, but we had a blast.  The kids played really well together, and I think Nana and Pops were in grandparent heaven.

 

We went to a little water/splash park in the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murphreesboro.  Even the girls could play!

Last week, we set up this little blow-up pool on the deck.  Both kids love the water and it's a great way to pass these near-100 degree afternoons

This is Gage shooting Luca with a water gun at her buddy Peyton's 4th birthday party.  What a great idea for a party in the summer!

In a couple of weeks, we will be going to Dallas for Matthew and Cati's wedding.  We are both in it and the kids will stay with Nana and Pops for a few days before so Tony and I can play in Dallas for a few days before the wedding.  This coming weekend, we're hosting a shower for Matthew and Cati.  It's hard to believe that we were doing all of this planning and having these showers 8 years ago!!
