You may remember
these pics from December. A little trip to see a train turned into an impromptu photo session. We decided to go back again with the good camera, and the
real photographer behind the lens with the intention of capturing some great pics. Well, our trip didn't go exactly as planned. After several days of highs in the 80s, it was back to upper 90s. To top it off, there were workers all over the train this time, painting it. It is going to look great when it's done, but it was a little difficult to work around them and the wet paint, not to mention the searing hot metal. Despite the setbacks, Dad was still able to capture some truly awesome photos of the kids.
That last one? It's taking center stage in my living room. I LOVE that image!
Dad's real photography niche is for capturing "exceptional images of the ordinary." Here are some of the non-kid images he's captured (okay, so the shadow kid is Gage, but you wouldn't know that if I hadn't told you, right?) You can see his images at www.russellfordphoto.com or on www.fineartamerica.com by clicking on one of the images below.

The last train photo is great! I love walking/ from behind shots. Cool to have a prof photographer in the family. :)
Very nice pictures! I like the horses, I'm going to have to check out his website.
