This is a lame post for Christmas Eve Eve, but I wanted to put it here so I can pin it on Pinterest for my future reference. See? Lame.
Simple Mac and Cheese
1 1/2 cups macaroni (or other pasta)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can-full of milk (1 1/4 cup)
1/2 cup (or more) shredded cheddar cheese
1. Cook pasta in large pot boiling, salted water until al dente. Drain.
2. Mix together soup and cheese. Using empty soup can, measure 1 can of milk and add to mixture. Stir in cooked pasta. Dump into a greased casserole dish and cover
3. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes
It's not the thick, rich stuff that Grandma used to make, but it fits my need for creaminess and simplicity.
