Welcome to our little space on the net! This blog is just about our family life, and began as a way to keep family and friends updated on what was going on with my pregnancy with our first son, Gage. We've since added Evie to our family, and I continue to blog about family life, car seats, spina bifida, and anything else that catches my attention.

WIP- Memorial Day edition

We just got home last night, so my week in pictures starts last Wed and goes through yesterday. :)

Last Wed. Gage had to have an MRI for a yearly check-up with the Neurosurgeon.  This is Gage and Tony outside our local hospital before the MRI

This is what Gage looks like while drunk on Versed.  He was hilarious.  He renamed his nurse (her name was Amanda- he called her Eelie), kept saying that he'd "be right back" and trying to get up, thanked the recovery nurse, and told Amanda that he loved her before we left.

Friday, there was a whole lot of this

to get to my Dad's in Middle TN.

Then the rest of the weekend was filled with a lot of pool time, including Gage being towed around the pool on the back of my dad's kayak.

We got Evie a Puddle Jumper, too.  Gage has had one for a while.  I'm amazed by how independent they are with them!  They both were all over the pool.  I highly recommend them.  It was nice to be able to enjoy the pool myself without holding a kid.

Sunday afternoon, we went to this park near my dad's house.  Gage is obsessed with trains, so this was the reason for going, but there was also a carousel, a splash pad, a waterfall and pond, a little roller coaster, and a nice park with playground.  Gage rode the train about 5 times and the carousel several times, too.  Dad took some pics by the waterfall, but Gage has this squinty Popeye face he does if there is any sun.

The weekend resulted in tired kids

We came back to my mom's Monday, where Tony met us (he worked all weekend).  There, the kids wrestled

And we discussed Evie's new dimple. In the last couple of weeks, she has developed 1, on her left cheek.

We had Gage's neuro appt. Tuesday morning (all went fine) and then we drove home.  This was at just before 5pm when we got home

And then this was on the front porch when we got home.  I caught it on NoBetterDeal.com and got it for Evie.  It's a Minnie Mouse The First Years Ignite stroller.

And that's about it!
